Bei diesem Gedichtband handelt es sich um eine ehrliche, rührende, tragische und doch auch Mut machende Geschichte, die ich jedem, der mit sich selber hadert, nur ans Herz legen kann. Amanda Lovelace sagt mit wenigen Worten so viel (Wahres), auf eine leise und doch sehr eindringliche Weise. Da dies mein erster Gedichtband überhaupt gewesen ist, habe ich nicht viel Vergleich, aber mich hat die Geschichte, die die Autorin hier erzählt, sehr berührt und ich mochte es sehr, einmal durch Gedichte in jemandes Welt einzutauchen und zum Nachdenken angeregt zu werden.

Schöne moderne, großteils schwere und bedrückende, Lyrik. Mir gefällt der Grundtenor sehr gut und ich denke Fans von zb Rupi Kaur kommen auch hier auf ihre Kosten. Ich hab das Buch bestellt, nachdem ich auf Instagram auf Lovelace aufmerksam wurde. Das Buch ist sogar umfangreicher als ich erwartet habe und ich bin gespannt auf die kommende Neuerscheinung dieser Reihe. Ein wenig irritiert war ich von der Trigger Warnung vorne im Buch, wohl etwas sehr amerikanisches. Umso entzückender fand ich dafür die Widmung "for the boy who lived" ;-)

Buch welches sich in die Kategorie Gefühle/Gedichte/Gedanken einreiht.Ich lese dieses Buch immer wieder gerne, es regt zum Nachdenken an und man setzt sich so auch mit seiner eigenen Gefühlswelt auseinander.Ständige Themen sind Tod,Essstörung sowie Beziehungen und wie damit umgegangen wird.Ich kann es wirklich jedem empfehlen, der über den Kauf des Buches nachdenkt.
This poetry collection is truly beautiful and well written. At first I wasn't sure if I should buy it, but after reading some more I decided to just go for it and I was NOT disappointed.This and "milk and honey" by Rupi Kaur are definitely my favorite poetry collections and also great for more inspiration. I honestly love reading through them again and again, because those poems truly touch you.
Amanda Lovelace hat eine wunderschöne Art zu schreiben. Ich habe so viel geweint und es war eine wahre Freude sie auf ihrem Weg durch ihre Gedichte zu begleiten. In vielen habe ich mich auch selbst wiedergefunden. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen!
